Mountain Heat
In the fourth Charley Anderson Crime Novel, Charley goes to New Mexico to search for her missing ex-husband. She discovers that Hatch peppers aren't the only source of heat in the mountains.

The Long Writers
Meet Natrelle & Russell
Now enjoying retirement, the husband-and-wife team have time to write novels—a luxury they never had with their busy careers. Natrelle has just published her fourth novel in the Charley Anderson Crime Series, while Russell is polishing his three-book series.
Russell is a native Texan who spent most of his career in higher education. He has degrees from Sul Ross State University, New Mexico State University, and Texas A&M University. His most recent position was president of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.
Natrelle also spent her working years on a university campus, teaching thousands of students in over 27 years. In her last position she served as executive assistant to President Barry Thompson at both Tarleton State University and West Texas A&M University. While she oversaw several departments, she especially worked on raising funds for student scholarships.

Books for Purchase

Charley has left Texas and her past behind. But when she receives an anonymous invitation to an exclusive spa in New Mexico, she accepts and sets another test of fire in motion. Spa luxury is quickly turned into terrifying episodes as she's kidnapped, poisoned, and living on the street.

Charley Anderson is a woman with a past. A past so haunting that she leaves Texas to begin a new life in New York, but when a homeless man dies and leaves her a mystery to solve, once again she's immersed in a world of deception, greed, kidnapping, torture, and murder. Dangerous Gifts follows the first novel--Scars--in the Charley Anderson crime series.

What begins with a cat ends with a corpse. Rescuing a maimed cat thrown into traffic on New York's Fifth Avenue is just the beginning. As Charley hunts the torturers, she discovers layers of abuse and corruption that reach an ocean away.

When Neal Landrum is diagnozed with a fatal disease, he begins a physical, intellectual, and emotional journey through his life--from a peculiar lower-class childhood in a small West Texas town to a career in New York City. He explores family, business, and romantic relationships as he begins to understand Socrates's dictum that "an unexamined life is not worth living."
